Subject: [ARC5] BC-375 tubes

I haven't read every message in the thread so don't know if this has been
tried yet.

What about the 826? This is a triode, looks like an 829B without the plate
pins.

The only ham use of these things seems to have been in Gonset 6 and 2 meter
linears to be paired with the Gooney Box AM rigs. Thanks to the cold-war
generousity of th' Fed'rul Goobermint and the Civil Defense program, there
are about a bazillion of these tubes still extant, NIB.

And I don't think th' Audiophools have discovered them yet.

** Unfortunately many 826's have seal leaks. I went thru several dozen and
found only 9 good ones not too long ago. Some audiophools have discovered
them, maybe that nice purple glow gives warm fuzzy music.
