When my computer at work got infected by a virus and thus crewed up so much it would not run after the virus was cleaned, the company thoughtfully bought me a new HP machine with Windows 7.

I could not get the OE e-mails to transfer to the Win 7 machine, so I set up another Windows XP machine and  successfully got the e-mail to transfer.  In the process I found out why they would not transfer to Live Mail, as well.  The program is so stupid that showing it where the folder is for the e-mails was not good enough.  You had to show it the exact file in the folder.  Then the transfer worked.
