Through the kindness of Mr. George Diemer, affiliated with the
restoration of the only remaining K-type Navy Airship cabin
at the New England Air Museum, I've post two more
outstanding photos. The first is an excellent view of
the radio position, in this case equiped with
ATB/ARB Command and ARB/GP-7 Liaison.
The second is GF/RU - RU/GP-7
and also gives a good view of the
IFF, Radar and what may be ECM equipment :
"Here are some pictures showing the radio operator on a K-ship.
The first two are from a wartime pamphlet called "An Operational
Flight,"
about a day in the life of a blimp in squadron ZP-24,
and supposedly shot aboard K-28, the exact blimp being restored
at the New England Air Museum.
In reality, there were at least two blimps pictured,
but one of them may have been K-28."
