[ARC5] Collins Stuff and RCA Jacks

I have noted that RCA jacks appear to be more prone to corrosion than the alternatives, at least when the cables are not plugged into the jack and the equipment is sitting around unused. Maybe they have a dissimilar metals problem in some cases, or perhaps it's just that "big" hole leading into the chassis gives an path for moisture.

By the way, on the Narco transceiver in my airplane, for example, there is a rack the set slides into, which uses a card edge type connector and a BNC connection minus the locking ring. In that case the radio is locked into the rack by a screw that tightens, making the locking feature of the BNC unnecessary. The antenna connection has always worked well, although the card edge connector was a frequent problem until I applied some Office Depot Card Connector Lubricant, after which all has been just fine.
