Ian: I have had a working B&K 3025 5 MHz sweep/function generator which
has a sawtooth output to drive the scope, and have used that to align
receiver IFs.

Even so, I must use a very slow sweep and repetition rate in order to avoid
ringing, and thus I generally do this with the scope intensity turned up fairly
high, and in a darkened room.

This works well enough for me.

The trouble is, my B&K 3025 is not working at the moment.

As with everything I have tried to do lately, I have to repair my darned test
equipment before I can use it... :-(
