I've always thought Meals Rejected by Ethiopia.

I was with a small unit of about 200 or so and we had our own chow 
hall. The mess Sergeant, a fishing buddy, was a nice guy. He would 
cook up fish and game brought in, if it was cleaned and cut up, One 
unfortunate time at the end of a supply period he ran short of  meat 
for SOS and supplemented the meat with liver. He never lived that down.
