[ARC5] Trivial question. Meaning of "SCR"

Wireless has only recently come back as a word in the US. It started with
'Wireless Remote Control' for TVs and Garage Doors in the 50s-70s.
AFAIK, it only really became widespread in the last 20 odd years with the
increase in 'puters.
