[ARC5] Trivial question. Meaning of "SCR"

Wireless in the British Empire.  However, radio was in use here in the "colonies" even before World War I.  Remember, Americans and the British are separated by a "common" language!

I have some difficulty with "Set, Complete, Radio" if this terminology
dates from WW1. Surely radio of that era was referred to as "wireless".

"Wireless" as a term was so entrenched in the public's minds that even
as late as 1970, my grandmother and my father's uncle and aunt (all
80+) still used the term in preference to "radio".
