HHHmmmmm. Has anyone else given thought to the idea that this item may (and I shudder as I write this) be a clone?

I have seen at least one IF can in the aluminum. A few rf/if sets have gone through the Bay of E. Gordon  White at one point had a few to sell. The parts are out there, the tuning dial being the hardest part. The ‘arteest’ could have modified using information provided by Mr. White in some of his articles. Still, a well made clone would have value for someone who wants a ‘user’ and not have to worry about the Restoration Police.
