[ARC5] Need Information

Gentlemen I need some help with understanding a few things.

 

Is it true that ARC5 Transmitters and Receivers are not interchangeable with
SCR-274N Transmitters and Receivers?

 

Is it true that this non-compatibility if any is due to the plug on the back
of the radios being different?

 

Is it true that ARC5 equipment is always black and SCR-274N equipment is
always unpainted aluminum?

 

Is it true that the differences in rear plugs on the equipment is due to
different voltage requirements?

 

Answers to these questions will go a long way in helping me understand this
equipment.
