Naturally, the ARC engineers apparently decided to frustrate our hopeful 
simplified solutions. :-)

Actually, it is an outer ceramic coil and an inner phenolic 
coil...similar to the TN-6 antenna tuner coil approach.  If I can carve 
out some time, I'll measure its inductance tomorrow with the HP 4342A.  
Your estimate may be pretty close, based on extrapolation, but who knows?
