Actually, it is THICKER, not diameter, which means higher voltage in the
case of disc-ceramics.
There are several discs available at various rated voltages that all seem to
be the same diameter. In fact, some are rated at higher voltages that are
actually a bit smaller in diameter than those rated at lower voltages.

I am not sure you can. However, as I said, in my experience, the THICKER
they are, the higher the voltage rating, generally.
As John said, the different ceramic materials of which they are made also
comes into consideration.
Are there any markings on those capacitors at all? What are those?
