After 7 more hours of soaking, the frequency is now 7014 KHz. 

My solution must be getting weak. That works out to less than 1 Khz/hour now.

I'll do some more soaking tomorrow, but right now I am going to bed.

What really impresses me about this process is that the crystal retains its activity. Grinding 
doesn't most of the time.

I did work a fellow in Pacifica, CA earlier this evening with the GRC-109. He was running 
QRP and I could just barely hear him, but he gave me a 56/79 which really isn't too bad for 
15 watts.
