Using my VTVM on the audio output instead of trying to "guesstimate" the average voltage 
level by looking at my scope, I come up with the following approximate 10 db S+N/N ratios:

AM 2.3 microvolts.

CW 0.9 microvolts.

This seems more reasonable to me.

I repeated the measurements 3 times each and took the average.

This was with 12SG7s as RF and 1st IF and at 2.0 MHz.

I'll do the same thing with 12SK7s and then 12SH7s to see if there is any measureable 
difference.
