" Boy! Band conditions are just awful. Very few signals on any band but 40
and 20."
We have two problems. The first is the propagation. The second is I believe
we are losing people.
I watch the activity with DX Lab. The reverse beacons only work with CW and
the digital modes. They show the most activity is in the eastern US. West
Coast activity is very low in these modes
A week ago I was copying W1AW here in Seattle on 20M. One evening I got W1AW
on 40M. But last week it was gone.
I do see some occasional slow CW between 7100 and 7125. I need to try doing
that again.
Another thing I don't understand is the propagation looks mostly E/W. Very
little N/S. Here on the West Coast it may be that I don't see anything from
California because no one in California is operating.
But just check on a contest day. Then there is a lot of activity. The next
major contest is Field Day.
