The circle "M" stood for "morgue," which is what A.R.C. called
their prototype storage attic. And it was truly an attic - been there.
Not a museum.
My guess is that Aircraft Radio Sales, a surplus outfitin
Connecticut - Hartford? as I recall, probably got some morgue units
after the war. A.R.C. had to sell a lot of stuff to establish a
scrapvalue when contracts were terminated/renegotiated in 1945-46. I
don't know that for a fact, but what I know of A.R.C. at that time,
"probably."
And some A.R.C. employees may have "liberated" some. And I got a
couple dozen circle M morgue units when the Boonton plant was closed.
