[ARC5] ARC-5 antenna match

Neil - I have tried running without the series cap and, at least for me, can't get anywhere near as much power out running the output of the TX directly into the lower tap on the matching network coil.  Only about 30 watts vs 50....

The circuit layout is not critical at all, in fact, if the leads on the cap are long enough, it can be substituted for the wire between the TX and the coil!

The series cap and the series roller inductor inside the TX work together to provide a better match. Without the cap you just have the roller inductor in series with the link coupling coil on the TX tank coil, and the bottom few turns of the external parallel LC network coil.

Well, not to nitpick but it's not quite the same.
Ken feeds ARC-5 output direct to its tap, you feed it via a 200 pF
capacitor. This capacitor adds another element into the tuning and
must be factored into the physical layout.

You both have the same principle, but if his method works as well
as he says, I'd prefer its simplicity.
