Who was the source ? Considering that many dont remember much CW over there
anything is possible plus it was a noisy night.

SeaVenture?
A posting re the Night of Nights on amfone.net said that WLO was heard
working WJMV, and someone else put a post up to a link for a ship spotting
web site that IDed the ship with that call as the SEA VENTURE, a chemical
tanker that we would see in the Thames River all the time bringing
polystyrene up to the Dow Chemical plant in Gales Ferry, CT. The odd thing
is that SEA VENTURE was taken out of service and was sold for scrap a couple
of years ago, so how did that call show up last night? Some sort of really
long delayed propagation, or more likely, did someone pick up that call
under a special FCC authorization to use for special ops such as Night of
Nights?
