[ARC5] More on PT-658 - AR-4 and BN.

I was sent a bunch of photos this morning on both the BN unit,  and the antenna mounting for 
the ARC-4, plus some other ARC-4 info. 

Jerry Gilmartin says that the antenna for the ARC-4 looks to him like "a cross on a stick", and 
it is shown in photos of another PT-625-series boat which he sent.

Jerry has done considerable research and has ample and accurate documentation.

To me, what he thinks is the ARC-4 antenna looks more like a small DF antenna, or perhaps 
a ground-plane type with only two "radials". It is mounted quite high up, and is actually above 
almost everything else on the boat.

Might anyone have a more accurate idea of what this antenna is?

I would doubt that we could find an original antenna of this type, but perhaps we can build a 
replica if we know what it was.

The PT-658 crew seems unusually interested in making their boat as historically accurate as 
possible, which, to me, is absolutely wonderful! They, apparently, want as much of the 
equipment as possible to be actually working and usable too. I am very impressed.
