Heathkit screws get that appearance without any help.

The foaming type of Scrubbing Bubbles does a great job removing heavy 
nicotine stains and I use it often for that as I hate to work on customers 
gear coated with that stuff.. Remove any residue with water or disc brake 
cleaner.....after "testing in an inconspicuous place"
