Hi All,

A while back there was a thread in this forum starting with GPS
interference from LightSquared, progressing to LORAN A, and culminating in
wistful recollections of the sound of LORAN A as heard in a radio
receiver. As we know, the LORAN A system in the US went dark over 30
years ago. One forum participant expressed a wish that he had a recording
of LORAN A so heard.

I have found an audio clip of a simulation of the sound of LORAN-A. It has
the "flanging" characteristic of a channel having 2 stations of differing
pulse repetition rates. Even though the timbre is a little off (probably
from ringing in the IFT's of the various tube radios I used back in the
day) from the way I remember it, it is still quite good. Here it is for
your edification and enjoyment.
