Yes.  I don't recall encountering one in a DM-32 but over several years, 
I've encountered three in GN-58-A's.  And always the same brush.  And if you 
think that dismantling a DM-32 to be able to safely press out the stuck brush 
was a pain, you ain't seen nothing yet!!!  What happened with the generator 
was that the brush swelled in all three dimensions and locked up the 
armature.  

I found that the safest way to remove the stuck brush (after getting the 
bearing and brush carrier off of the field housing) was with a piece of key 
stock that was about the same width and thickness as the brush and long enough 
to span from one brush cap to the opposing one.  Radiusing one end to 
roughly fit the face of the stuck brush will help avoid damage to the brush 
holder.  Set the stuck brush's holder down in a block or tube about an inch tall 
and with a hole through it just larger than the OD of the threads.  Use an 
arbor press to push the stuck brush out of the holder.
