[ARC5] MRCG Meet dates/ARC Type-12

Hi Ian  - The West Coast Military Radio Collectors Group (MRCG) annual meet
is usually around the first weekend in May as mentioned.  It's where I got
most of my ARC T-12 and ARC-5 gear....It is held at the NCO club at the
Camp San Luis Obispo National Guard base in CA.  It is mainly a swap meet,
static display, field operating event and a Mk-1 Mod-0 gabfest....I don't
think this years' dates have been nailed down as yet though.  Keep an eye
on the website.
There is often a second gathering in the summer which is a subset;
primarily a military field day type of event around the Santa Paula (CA)
airport environs.  A number of the MRCG guys also do events at the Ft.
MacArthur coastal defense site in San Pedro with Mil vehicles, field sets,
installed "base" stations etc. 2013 date not yet set.
We have also done 4 "Battalion Communications Center" setups, displays and
operating events at the Military Vehicle Collectors of California MV annual
meet and swap-fest in Lodi CA, aka "Camp Delta at Tower Park".  200 + Mil
vehicles were there last April.  Lotta fun.  See the MVCC website for those
details.  We ran Type-12/MAW VHF AM  field trials last year as well as HF
and 6 meter FM stuff - fun!  Some Pix here:
