Ray - would be interested in knowing the details of the Camp Evans meter - xtal
frequency and what the cal chart looks like. The crystal in mine is 4.8875 Mc -
39.1 Mc is the 8th harmonic. The size of the cap and coil on the unit variable
osc look like they are indeed working around 39 Mc.

The frequency of the SCR-268 radar was set at about 205 Mhz. and shifting the
frequency of its 16 tube ring oscillator was not a task for the faint hearted.
The Army's first radar and decidedly crude by late WWII standards, non-the-less
saw yeoman service in both the European and Pacific theaters of action. We have
one of those pieces of test equipment in our museum at Camp Evens and solicit
leads to any other pieces of that venerable radar.
