[ARC5] Loon Transmitter

I would like to hear more about the Loon transmitter.  I actually went to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum and did some research on the Loon for a possible article.

Interestingly enough, like the V-1, the Loon was air-launched as well as ground launched.  I have often thought that between the Loon, the TV guidance used in Project Aphrodite, the radar guidance used in the USN's Bat and the miniature and subminiature tubes that became available after WWII, by all rights we should have had optical and radar guided "smart missiles" in time for Korea.
