Gee....well, I am glad you reminded me of it, Wayne. I'll try it out asap. It ain't 
hard to swap from PNP to NPN anyway: just (essentially) reverse the 
voltages...or swap emitter for collector.

A 2N2222 should work just fine. I'll breadboard one up asap and try it.
