Bob -
You are absolutely correct, from time to time you may get some one to 
pay the price, that is a bidder looking for a particular item in need.
To interest bidders, or get traffic on your item;  you need to set, no 
or real low reserve to cover shipping.   You loose a few but in my 
observation you win a larger price in the end.   It is human nature, 
once the bidding starts a fever takes hold.
