I agree absolutely.

However, I must admit to being quite surprised that this receiver is as 
sensitive as it is even now. I had expected its sensitivity to be on the order of 
5 microvolts at best, for CW at 30 MHz. It is at least an order of magnitude 
better than what I expected.

I have not changed any of the component values in the RF stage. As far as I 
can see, it is operating exactly as it was designed.

In fact, at this point, I see no need to do any tweaking with it at all.
