I was just checking alignment and thought I would see how much audio power output into a
500 ohm speaker I have available:

35 V P-P into 500 ohms on my o'scope.

If I am correct in my calculations, this equates to 2.45 watts output with the AF volume control
at maximum. P=E^2/R. It sure does rattle the windows.

This is with my Eico 324 at the lowest possible RF output, and both the RF and IF gain
controls at minimum. This is at 30 MHz, 400 Hz modulation on the signal generator.

I have made no changes to the 12A6 circuit. It is completely stock.

Nice...so far.

As soon as I clean up the shop, I'll make a quick test of S+N/N ratio and MDS.

I'll use my AN/URM-25F, which has not been calibrated, but I suspect it will give me a
generally OK idea...
