Thanks, David, but I have more than enough wrecks here which could 
provide such.

Yes. That has become obvious over the past month and more.

In fact, I had thought that I would change the tuning-cap in my one and only 
wrecked ARC Type 12 MF receiver so I could use a tuning knob and have a 
dial.

I also thought I would add a BFO to that one.

I also have only ONE BC band, hacked, ARC Type 12 which I had 
contemplated doing the same thing with.

Despite its damage, it is the most complete BC band "ARC-5" I have in the 
place. The others have been damaged beyond repair. All they are good for is 
parts...and not many of those...
