[ARC5] 10 meter BC-454 - more info

If you have a defunct octal tube base or equivalent 
"plug" around, put an equivalent resistor across the 
filament terminal pins (2 & 7 ?) and then you could 
remove either the RF amp or mixer and maybe further 
localize your problem.
