Back when these were the "Bee's Knees", the rule of thumb was to use the 
12th harmonic for most of the VHF comm band (read: T-11( )  ) and the 
18th for frequencies up into the 2 meter band (read: T-13( )  )  Using a 
demarcation of about 130 MHz for multiplications worked well.   It 
seemed to work out rather well.  Astute observers will also note that 
the T-11* is the low split and the T-13* is the high split.   That said, 
both will work......
