For what it's worth...

re the ARC-5 being a "late 1943" set, by far the most common "stamp" I have seen on the rear apron of ARC-5 transmitters -- and this includes any frequency ranges I have actually encountered except the VHF models -- is "Released 1-43" followed by the US and anchor.
