[ARC5] Question on alignment of receivers.

I am very suspicious that there is still something not quite right about the
plate-to-mixer circuit of the 10 meter BC-454 I am working on.

The two capacitors connected to L-3/L-4, i.e. C-4F and C-4D, do not do very
much with this receiver. I can adjust C-4F (the front one) and can achieve a
very broad, shallow "peak", but C-4D (the rear one) does essentially nothing.

In your experience, do these two adjustments make a more noticeable
difference than what I am seeing, or do they act as I have indicated above?

I suspect that the coil inductance is not quite right yet, or perhaps there is a
problem with the RF amp tube.

I am going to check MDS (Minimum Discernible Sensitivity) today to get a
better idea whether there IS a problem or not.
