[ARC5] Power Supply Filter Question

Good Afternoon All,

        I have used High Power Fet as Voltage regulators for quit some
time now. If the circuit is design and build well there is no reason to
be leave there will be any problems. For the most part they can be built
small enough to hid under the hood so to speak.  for small current
requrement of an ARC 5 Receiver, a IRF 520 Fet and a few dollars of
Zeners could be used to provide a almost ripple free DC voltage. Just as
a side note, I work for a High Power Power Supply manufacture as a
Customer Service Technician. As such I work on power systems that range
from 750 watts to 100,000 watts. Ninety percent of our systems are
switchers and use a variety of IGBT Fets.
