Sorry about the fouled up tries to answer on my iPhone. Let's try again on a laptop.
I have found that there is a setscrew holding the connector together. Remove it and the whole connector will come apart and you can clean up EACH "solder cup" individually. Then you can install appropriate length and color code wires to the "solder cups," and reassemble the connector all nice and pretty.

I'll add that if the old solder has a rough looking flat gray surface, it
will help immensely to flow a little bit of new solder into it before
attempting to desolder the solder cup. Otherwise
you could well burn the phenolic before the old solder finally melts.

"Solder Cups" is actually what they are properly called.

I would clean out the old solder first. It's probably 60/40 or even
50/50.
This is pretty easy to do by heating each cup with an iron and the
pounding your hand on the bench, holding the connector cup pointing
down.
Or, you can use a Pace style solder sucker (preferred).

On reconnecting:

Strip the wire for about 3/16" and lightly twist the strands together.
Tin with 60/40 or better 63/37 rosin core solder.
Insert the yinned end into the cup.
Heat and apply solder to just fill the cup.
Remove iron and lick burnt fingers.
Get a better way of holding wire until solder cools.
Repeat with other wires.

Disassemble your work, because you forgot to put parts onto the cable
before soldering up the other end.

YMMV,
