[ARC5] BC-348 Backlash Suggestions

Dave and others - My split gears are fine, but I have the same problem w/ the worm gear shaft on mine: Lotsa play.
Mine sounds like a Theremin on meth if I bump it.
I plan to kludge a split washer inside out of the clear plastic top of a box of note cards and also add a thicker felt washer outside. 

Most of the play should be gone, but I won't be able to spin the knob as I used to do. Minor trade-off.
