Hi,

Indeed..don't beat anything with a hammer unless you are making
something *else* out of the 'thing'..a la blacksmith. For small parts I
use inexpensive C-clamps with appropriate sleeves to receive (in your
case) those pins as they come out. Small socket wrenches work well for
that and won't harm the sockets or the pins. Cleaning up those boogers
with a small file is probably the fussiest part. Look for "jewelers"
files. They're cheap and appropriate to the job. Take your time and try
to actually enjoy the process (grin). It easier to do that when you
don't have a boss breathing down your neck while waving at the clock and
a ranting about a deadline. I've been retired for a while now but I
still remember all of *THAT*.
