  Dear List-members,

I wish to fabricate a number of plugs to suit the rear panel connector
on the "command" receivers. For this I need a suitable number of "pins"
that mate with the socket.

I would like to swap one power supply to suit the command receivers for
a "suitable number" of "pins" that match the afore-mentioned socket. I
will thow in a reasonable number of fabricated plugs when I have
machined the shell and added the pins.

The power supply for exchange can be seen in the yahoo "groups"
ARC5-radio 'files' directory.

To see the power supply: goto the "ARC-5radio" mailing list at
www.groups.yahoo.com and then find (or join) the ARC-5radio list. Look
in 'files' and then in the folder 'ARC-5 power supply (PSU-611)'. YOU
supply the 24V AC 1A plug pack used with the power supply. I supply a
mating "green" 8 way connector and a 2.5mm power jack.

As the card in the photo connects to the rear panel socket it
constitutes a way to run a "command" radio "stand alone". You house the
power supply in a box, add a speaker (with a 600 to 8 ohm transformer),
then plug the lot into the command socket. Add 10 foot of aerial wire
thrown across the room and you have a working command receiver. Very
simple. Add a simple three transistor down-converter and you have a
superb double-conversion 80m receiver.

Any-one interested? Then pls contact me (vk2bcu 'at' OperaMail 'dot'
com).
