You beat me to it John!
The RBA is more operator friendly but loses out in selectivity except for
audio filtering.
We had the RAK/RAL and RBA's aboard ship and I preferred the RAL for hamband
CW while the RBA was better for point to point, established frequency, and
usually strong signal, USN message traffic.
