  Dear List Members,
I note the following item on an auction list: (see below)

 ARC-5 BC-459A transmitter, 7-9.1 Mhz.
ARC-5 BC-696A transmitter, 3-4 Mhz., new old stock in original box
Box lot, ARC-5 BCST rec., ARC-5 rec. 3-6 Mhz. & ARR-2 rec. mount, parts
 missing <----------note
Box lot, ARC-5 rcvr w/power supply, Browning FM tuner, Kiethly DVM,
 audio gen., meters, etc.

I take "BCST" to mean R-24 or 500 to 1500kHz type "command" receiver.
The sale will be in New Jersey. Nothing to do with me ....
I found the catalog on the web while searching for the circuit to
 replace a MD-7 or BC-456.
If you are interested in a copy of the auction catalog send an e-mail
  to VK2BCU "at" OperaMail.com.
I will send a catalog on a "once-only" reply to any e-mail in my
mail-box before monday evening (my time = Sunday US time.)

 "Command" modulator
I found one circuit for a homebrew modulator - this used cathode
 modulation, not plate modulation.
I you know of the circuit for a home-brew modulator for a "command"
set, I'd be pleased to get a reference.
The other alternative is to use a solid state high voltage power
 amplifier as a combination PSU-modulator.
If you have a pointer to a circuit for power supply or modulator for
the "command" transmitters, I'd be pleased to see it here.

First few lines from the catalog mentioned above are:

"Catalog for Radio Electronics Auction at InfoAge – 27 April, 2013"
"This list is provided for your convenience, it is not the order of
sale. Items will be sold in random order.
Possibly after 1 PM on day of sale we will take requests for remaining
items that you are interested in. Condition
of the merchandise ranges from new/restored to fair and poor. Many just
need a good cleaning. Bulk tube lots
are “as found” and have not been picked over."
