Oh, dear, that chap is local to me, it would seem.  I don't know him, though, or if I do I don't know it.

He does also have a rather nice selection of ceramic stand-offs for sale, though.

I believe there is Kellet KD-1 Autogyro in the Smithsonian.  As for the YG-1 designation, isn't it funny how often the military uses the same designation for different equipment.  My favorite is the MA-1 designation, which could be anything from a radar set to a flight jacket.
