[ARC5] "Conversion" or "Perversion" articles?

Note that the BC-312/342 receivers were intended to be used with a  
loudspeaker and the (Doofuss?) designers included an additional audio  
stage between the second detector and the 6F6 audio output tube.   
Gross waste of scarce wartime resources maybe?
