Wasn't there a Command Set receiver that operated on 27 Mc?  RAV possibly?
I remember seeing a guy's setup - on Long Island - in the early 1960's who
had a complete, shock mounted Command Set (with Dyno's) operating it on CB
(! ).  I know there were many TX's modified to 10 meters but was there also
a stock (rare) TX that covered 27 Mc and thereabouts?

That plate modulated AM on the CB band probably sounded good (good
buddy!)....
