The confiscation didnt last long due to manpower and lack of knowledge of
who had them.
Various radio shop magazines and other means were used to get the disabling
memos out. Ive seen the actual notice, its on the Internet.
Some shops simply cut a wire to the bandswitch, others removed all the SW
parts. Each still show up today and the questions come up often.

Knew that radios were confiscated from some ethnic groups but never heard
