Good Morning Group,
Nomenclature plates on Nayy aircraft gear are usually black or blue to indicate primary supply voltage, at least with the GF/RU equipment. What about green? I vaguely remember a thread discussing this and I think it indicated equipment used for training purposes. I may be way off here though. If someone could clarify, thanks.
I had an ATC tx many years ago that had red painted around the mic jack sleeve. I have occasionaly seen mic plugs with a red band around the body. I presume that this was to ensure proper mic useage? But my T-47/ART-13 does not have the red mic jack and none of the T-17 or RS-38 mics that I have has the red band. Again, clarificaton please.
Thanks,
Jay KE6PPF
