Indeed! there's certainly more recorded history applicable to these WWII relics in the Amateur Radio publications than any other source. Especially when one looks at the limited variety but massive production of command sets before, during, and even after WWII. As many including myself have said over the years that if not for amateur radio initially embracing of these gems for practical ham applications not to mention what became romantic attachments, historical rumination over these rascals would be moot. I think discussions about the various modifications and adaptations are far more relavant history than what type of screw was used to fasten the bottom plate to a Q5ER.
