You are overlooking the most obvious waveform.
An asymmetrical wave form in time. A short pulse, one that a class C device
would produce.
Ideally, an impulse, one that has a width of zero and an amplitude of
infinity would produce
all harmonics. A class C oscillator or amplifier with a small conduction
angle would produce
many strong harmonics even and odd. I have made an inexpensive calibrator
that has produces
~6ns pulses and even at 10kHz fundamental it produces great harmonics up to
2 meters with out
extremely strong ones at HF frequencies. I have also made a harmonic mixer
to go with it that
allows you to tune oscillators and amplifiers. It also has a temperature
compensated crystal
oscillator.
