FWIW, TM 11-310 Issue No. 1 dtd 10/25/43 is only 56 pages and 6 foldouts.  
It ran up through Issue No. 5 (Change 4) following which they shifted to the 
more standard procedure of calling the revisions Change n.  Final change is 
Change 8 dated 
07/31/47 at which point the complete volume is around 600 pages and 200 
foldouts.  

Also, besides schematics it has in most cases one to several pages of 
alignment instructions.
