Hey,

We also don't have to put of with half of the crap those guys had in the
bombers and not even counting other people shooting at them. Line noise,
engine noise, wind noise, vibration, and *COLD*. The little ARC-5s have
a more comfortable life in a ham shack too.

About those radios with custom microcontrollers and displays. I am going
to suggest that a determined ham could get them on the air doing
something useful after the unobtanium smoke gets out. I have a sample or
two here that I am gnawing on from time to time.
